From December 18th to 19th, the China Meteorological Service Association 2020 Annual Meeting and the Second Meteorological Industry (China Meteorological Valley) Development Conference were grandly held in Nanjing. The annual meeting, themed "Building China's Meteorological Industry 2.0", focused on discussions surrounding the creation of an upgraded meteorological industry, accelerating the construction of a new development pattern, and progress and prospects of meteorological technology. Liu Yameng, Party Secretary and Director of the China Meteorological Administration, sent a congratulatory letter to the annual meeting, and Mr. Yu Yong, Deputy Director of the China Meteorological Administration, delivered a speech at the meeting.

The first China Meteorological Service Association Science and Technology Award was presented at this year's "Meeting of Wind and Clouds." This award is divided into talent and achievement categories. The talent category includes the "Wind and Cloud Achievement Award" and the "Wind and Cloud Talent Award," while the achievement category includes the Meteorological Technological Invention Award and the Meteorological Scientific and Technological Innovation Award. These awards are given to outstanding organizations and individuals engaged in scientific and technological work in the fields of meteorological service operations and industries whose excellent scientific and technological achievements have been effectively transformed and promoted, generating considerable economic and social benefits.
According to the selection results, former China Meteorological Administration Director Wen Kegang and Chinese Academy of Engineering Academician Li Zechun were awarded the Wind and Cloud Achievement Award; Bao Xiaojun along with Jin Li, Shen Yanbo, Fang Shuangxi, Wang Xiaochun, Yuan Xingyuan, and Feng Minxue (7 people in total) were awarded the Wind and Cloud Talent Award; in addition, 7 projects were awarded the Meteorological Technological Invention Award and 14 projects were awarded the Meteorological Scientific and Technological Innovation Award.

In 2014, General Manager Bao Xiaojun returned to China with a determination to contribute to the nation's science and technology, establishing Guangdong Naruida Radar Technology Co., Ltd. (formerly Zhuhai Naruida Technology Co., Ltd.). Under his leadership, the company developed China's first X-band dual-polarization phased array weather radar. Currently, the product is networked for monitoring across the country, achieving ultra-high spatiotemporal resolution weather detection.

Recently, the construction demonstration zone for low-altitude applications in Yantian and the launch ceremony for the Yantian Low-Altitude Application Service Management System were successfully held at the Yantian eVTOL Industrial Park in Shenzhen. Naruida Radar's TDKFT0104 Ku-band dual-polarization multi-purpose radar served as the primary low-altitude detection equipment in the platform system construction. It is understood that the Yantian Low-Altitude Application Service Management System is the first officially released low-altitude management system (1.0) in Shenzhen.
