This competition attracted wide participation from radar algorithm and product developers from meteorological departments, research institutes, universities, and enterprises across the country, receiving a total of 216 registration forms and 202 technical reports. After the preliminary review and assessment, 98 works were selected to participate in the final defense. This can be described as a gathering of meteorological industry elites, with an exceptionally fierce competition.
Finally, the final works were divided into five groups: multi-band weather radar physical quantity products, short-term and near-term monitoring products of weather radar, multi-band weather radar data quality control algorithms, new meteorological radar quality control algorithms and application products, and meteorological radar data and product evaluation algorithms. The project "Multi-band Weather Radar Network Spatio-temporal Data Fusion Algorithm and Product Application," jointly submitted by Naruida Radar and the Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Data Center and Xi'an Meteorological Bureau of Shaanxi Province, won the first prize.

This competition focused on algorithm principles, aiming to fully leverage the advantages of different bands of radar in weather detection. Developed jointly by Naruida Radar and its application clients, the "Multi-band Weather Radar Network Spatio-temporal Data Fusion Algorithm and Product Application" stood out among many excellent projects. This application technology mainly involves the development of multi-band data fusion algorithms, which achieves S/C and X band radar data fusion through multi-band radar data quality control, time matching, and spatial matching. Over the years, it has played an important role in the forecasting and early warning of sudden catastrophic weather events across the country, producing significant economic and social benefits.

Excellent Products Will Receive Further Development and Business Promotion
It is reported that this competition is an important measure to thoroughly implement the decision-making and deployment of the China Meteorological Administration to comprehensively promote high-quality meteorological development and deepen reforms in radar meteorological operations, fully exert the "major national equipment" role of radar in meteorological disaster prevention and mitigation, and give full play to the innovative leading role of the Radar Meteorological Center. It aims to select, incubate, and promote high-quality meteorological radar products, discover, cultivate, and gather excellent radar meteorological talents, form teams, seek cooperation, and form synergy to jointly improve the application effectiveness of meteorological radar in the monitoring, forecasting, and early warning of disastrous weather.
Subsequently, the Radar Meteorological Center will provide research funding support to winners with independent intellectual property rights and application prospects for further cultivation, incubation, and business promotion.
