Recently, Zhuhai Maritime Safety Administration and Naruida Radar officially signed an agreement on jointly building an application and innovation center for fully polarized phased array traffic control radar. Both parties will leverage the application of Naruida Radar's fully polarized active phased array radar in traffic control, expanding the breadth and depth of phased array radar applications, enriching maritime application scenarios, and achieving mutual benefits.

Traditional active phased array radars are mainly used in the military field. In recent years, with breakthroughs in fully polarized phased array technology and microstrip patch technology, active phased array radar technology has been rapidly promoted to fields such as meteorological detection, ocean monitoring, civil aviation, water conservancy monitoring, and public safety.
Compared with traditional marine radars, the fully polarized active phased array radar combines polarization technology with microstrip patch antenna array technology, featuring refined, high-dimensional, and intelligent processing capabilities. It not only effectively improves the radar scanning speed and its ability to suppress sea clutter, achieving 24-hour all-weather, all-environment, and fully automated monitoring, real-time recording of maritime and ocean conditions, and monitoring the navigation tracks of ships at sea, but also can identify the size, shape, and danger level of targets, distinguishing between ships, warships, reefs, and floating objects, demonstrating superior target surveillance, identification, and tracking capabilities.

It is understood that currently, China mainly imports high-end civilian marine radars from European and American countries, which use traditional mechanical radar systems. The radar promoted by the jointly built innovation center between Zhuhai Maritime Safety Administration and Naruida Radar is a fully polarized active phased array radar with a more advanced technological system. The product has multiple independent intellectual property rights, with a domestic component and material ratio of over 90% in the project, ensuring independent and controllable core technologies. Its main performance indicators are superior to those of high-end imported marine radars from Europe and America. This will help fill the gap in China's high-end maritime traffic management radar market and support the replacement of imported high-performance marine radars with domestically produced ones.
